Thika Youth Basketball Camp - 30th August 2019


This basketball camp will be held at Thika Pines Basketball Camp from 9am to 4pm. All are welcome.

Hope Basketball Pre Tour - 28th July 2018

To be able to have enough equipment and resources needed for the tour, PK, with the help of Kenya Diaspora Sports Organization (KDSO) from Dallas and Legacy Grill organized a concert to raise money for this cause. The money raised was used to ship basketballs and other equipment to be used in the camps that were scheduled for August 2018.

Vikapu Elite Basketball Camp - 17th August 2018

The first camp was held at Vikapu Elite Basketball camp at Strathmore University with 27 campers in attendance. Here, the campers were taken through shooting and defense lessons. The major part at this camp was taken up talking to the campers about life, education, and basketball; how to juggle the three. The excited campers asked various questions about basketball and even challenged PK to a shooting contest where the winner, Paul Ebanda was awarded with compression tights.

National Team Training - 17th August 2018

PK was also invited by the national team coach during their training to help with the session and share his story with the team. Each player received two reversible jerseys, shorts and compression shorts.

Nakuru Camp 2018

The camp in Nakuru was a one-day camp held at Menengai girls with over 70 participants. There were 15 coaches in attendance during the camp who were awarded 10 reversible jerseys each to help them during scrimmages. The school received a set of reversible jerseys and two balls. The “Rainmakers” the hometown team received two sets of reversible uniforms.

Kisumu Camp 2018

Kiganya conducted a 3-day camp in the lakeside town of Kisumu that saw 80 kids and 10 coaches attend the camp. The Kisumu Lakers team received a set of warm up jerseys while the local organizing basketball branch was given a set of reversible uniforms.

Yala Mini Basketball Academy 2018

In Yala which is in rural part of western Kenya, Kiganya did a 1-day camp that saw 20 pairs of shoes, 10 balls and a set of practice gear and t-shirts donated. 50 kids and 15 coaches were present in this camp.

Umoja Elite Basketball Academy 2018

Conducted a 3hr camp and gave the academy 63 pairs of shorts, 30 reversible jerseys, T-shirts and 5 balls.

Soweto 2018

Conducted a 3hr clinic and donated basketball jerseys and shorts

Safe Spaces 2018

Presented a set of uniforms for the ladies donated by Angelo State women’s basketball team

Upper Hill Coaching Clinic - 27th & 28th August 2018

PK conducted a 2- day free coaching clinic that was open to both players and coaches at Upper Hill School in conjunction with Nairobi Basketball Association and Coach Cliff Owuor of the men’s National team. A total of 30 coaches and players attended the 2-day interactive clinic that had both a theory and practical session.

Media Tour 2018

With the help of Sports Connect Africa, a sports consultancy firm in Nairobi, Kiganya was hosted by one of the best TV stations in Kenya, KTN for a 1- hour interview where he discussed his basketball journey, his thoughts and plans for growing and improving basketball in the country. He was also hosted by a radio station, Radio Jambo where he also discussed matters basketball with a myriad of questions from listeners.

Jnr NBA ToT - 30th & 31st August 2018

PK was invited by Kita Matungulu, Director of Operations for NBA in Africa to help facilitate the ToT (Training of Trainers) in preparation for Jnr NBA 2018 edition in DIWOPA, Kayole. There were 120 coaches present for this exercise.
