NAIROBI (Premier League) – National champions Ulinzi Warriors, Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Telkom all made it to the finals when they won their semi finals Play Off games at Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium.

Ulinzi beat regional champions and Africa Club championships bound KCB Lions 2-1 while the rest of the Play Off semi finals all ended up in 2-0 sweep.

Warriors, who lost 74-78 to KCB last week were in a class of their own as they won back to back games that saw them turn the tables 2-1 as a stunned Lions remained in disbelief.

Ulinzi, forced to a must win situation, charged and won Game Two 68-53 as Ancette Wafula hit 22 points and Vincent Ambani naieled 13. KCB had 14 from Greg Odera.

Game Three did not go Lions way either as Wafula single handedly torched them for game high 38 points while David Otiso also had a huge game for Lions as he nailed 26 points.

Co-op trailed 4-11 from the start but moved close 12-13 in the first quarter and outscored USIU 21-7 in the second en route to a 2-0 sweep.

Peter Kiganya struggled but still led Co-op with 17 points, Johnson Karonje hit 14 and Bobby Okwako continued to impress with 13 points.

USIU, playing in only their first post season games, gave it their all but in te end it was just not enough. They had 21 from Abel Nson and 10 from Djibril Oudraougou.

Telkom had 12 points from Pamella Asige and 11 from caroline Achieng as they won 49-43 to complete a 2-0 rout. Storms trailed most of the time and never had an edge.Linda Alando led Storms with 14 points and Eva Kedogo managed 10.
